Hawaii Energy launched its newly redesigned and interactive website on August 12, which will play an integral part in achieving the program's goal to help Hawaii reduce its dependence on imported oil.
In addition to information about rebates, the new website offers energy conservation and efficiency tips for residents and businesses. Hawaii Energy will also feature an Energy Hero on the website in an effort to recognize those who support sustainability efforts.
Hawaii Energy expects the website will help the program increase its reach throughout the state by promoting energy education and awareness.
Additional features will be rolled out in subsequent phases to include a blog, forum, trade ally ratings and other extensions.
Hawaii Energy asks that visitors encourage others to visit the website to learn about Hawaii's energy situation, take advantage of rebates and find ways to save energy as well as money.
Design and development of the new website was headed by local design firm Wall-to-Wall Studios.
